Prosecutor who drove under the influence during curfew — thinking he could "settle" it
Prosecutor of the Shevchenkivskyi District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv, former first deputy head of the Kyievo-Sviatoshynskyi District Prosecutor's Office. On August 7 at 00:20, already during curfew, he was stopped by patrol officers on the Paton Bridge — behind the wheel of an elite Volkswagen Touareg, which, according to journalists, is not declared in his asset declaration. A classic case: guarding the law by day, breaking it by night.
Not only "drunk driving": showing ID to patrol and promising to "settle" it
When the patrol officers noticed signs of intoxication, Cherednichenko, according to the report, showed them his prosecutor's ID — attempting to pressure them with his position — and stated that he would "settle" it through the court. A protocol was drawn up against him under Article 130 of the Code of Administrative Offenses; case No. 755/13031/26 was to be heard by the Dnipro District Court of Kyiv on August 26 (Judge Omelyan). Thus, in one episode — drunk driving, curfew violation, undeclared SUV, and attempt to "arrange" things. A guardian of the law for whom the law applies only to others.
