Volodymyr Popereshnyuk is the second of the duo of Nova Poshta founders, responsible for operational excellence and technological development. He graduated from the Kharkiv Aviation Institute with a degree in "Mechanical Engineer of Aviation Engines and Power Plants" and simultaneously earned a second degree from the Kharkiv Engineering and Economics Institute. His father is a power engineer, and his mother is a process engineer and entrepreneur, founder of the company "Kharchovyk."

$7,000 borrowed from his mother — and 25 years without disagreements with his partner

In 2001, together with Klymov and his first wife Inna, he founded Nova Poshta, having borrowed the initial $7,000 from his mother’s company "Kharchovyk." Until 2014, he served as the Chief Operating Officer. Since 2017, he has been a member of the Supervisory Board, chairman of the Corporate Governance Committee and the Quality and Service Committee. In 2021, Forbes estimated his wealth at $155 million — 70th place among the richest Ukrainians. In 2023, his capital grew to $356 million, ranking 16th.

2018 searches — a "mask show" reminiscent of the 90s

In March 2018, massive searches were conducted in Nova Poshta offices — the biggest scandal in the company's history, which threatened its closure. Popereshnyuk and Klymov personally resolved the conflict. Later, Popereshnyuk commented: "Politicians come and go, but Nova Poshta remains."

Libertarian, publisher, and opponent of customs duties on parcels

In 2022, together with Mykhailo Chernyshov, he founded the publishing house WellBooks — specializing in translations of scientific literature of the Austrian School of Economics and libertarianism. Popereshnyuk is known as a consistent public critic of any attempts to tax international parcels — which fully aligns with Nova Poshta’s business interests.
