Criminal case on embezzlement — and a battle for the chair with Prodyvus

As early as 2021, the SBI opened proceedings under Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code (abuse of official position with severe consequences), in which Shevchenko appears as the former head of the Kyiv Boxing Federation — regarding embezzlement of budget funds. The BFU itself turned into a field of corporate warfare: the president's chair was swapped several times between Shevchenko and Volodymyr Prodyvus until the IBA suspended the Ukrainian federation due to "government interference."

According to media sources, Kyrylo Shevchenko together with associates, using forged documents, illegally registered private ownership of related persons over land plots totaling 36.05 hectares that belonged to the company LLC "B.M.K.-Building," which were intended for implementing the large-scale construction project "River Side."
