Wife — TV presenter of the pro-Russian channel “112 Ukraine”. In December 2017, Voloshyn's article "Paul Manafort — the unknown soldier of Ukrainian European integration" was published in the Kyiv Post; according to the FBI, the text was substantially written and edited personally by Manafort — a subject of investigation into Trump's ties to Russia and a former lobbyist for Yanukovych. During 2020–2021, he actively cooperated with the highest military-political leadership of the Russian Federation, conducted subversive activities against Ukraine, and participated in pro-Russian actions on May 9.
US and EU sanctions, treason, pistol and mandate revoked under pressure
On January 20, 2022, the US Treasury Department imposed sanctions against Voloshyn for "participation in Russia-controlled activities to destabilize Ukraine." In March 2022, during searches of OPZZh MPs who crossed the border illegally, the State Bureau of Investigation seized a pistol from Voloshyn. On February 10, 2023, the Security Service of Ukraine announced suspicion of treason (Part 1, Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) for spreading pro-Russian propaganda and subversive activities. On February 24, 2023, the Verkhovna Rada terminated his powers (330 votes in favor). In May 2025, the EU imposed sanctions against the "Voice of Europe" platform and Voloshyn personally — alongside Medvedchuk — for spreading pro-Russian propaganda.
