Serial fraudster with a Russian criminal record and car buyer deception schemes

Native of Bolhrad, Odesa region (born 19.08.1988), founder and head of PE "Pivdennyi Shlyakh" and LLC "Iron Motors" (brand Iron Motors). Studied at the Financial Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation in Moscow, lived for a long time in the capital of the aggressor country, and until 2023 actively used the social network "VKontakte" banned in Ukraine. In 2013, convicted in Russia under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud on an especially large scale) — illegal acquisition of 8 million rubles through fictitious sale of a Moscow apartment. Did not plead guilty, appeal rejected. Served three years in a general regime penal colony.

Escape to Moldova and new schemes during martial law

Since 2020 in Odesa, Filippov organized a turnkey used car sales scheme from the USA: clients were promised favorable prices, but some buyers either did not receive cars or were forced to pay extra. Defrauded clients lost hundreds of thousands of dollars. In November 2024, Odesa police opened criminal case No. 12024162480001307 under Part 3 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (fraud). Despite martial law and conscription age, Filippov and his wife Tamara left for Moldova without obstacles — his company "Pivdennyi Shlyakh" is also involved in a criminal case regarding illegal export of conscripts abroad. In Moldova, in April 2025, he founded a new firm SRL "Iron Motors" in Chișinău, targeting Moldovans and Ukrainian refugees. After public exposure, he actively cleans the internet of negative materials about himself.
