The Head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, Pavlo Kyrylenko, is suspected by NABU and SAP of illegal enrichment amounting to 72 million UAH. Between 2020 and 2023, while serving as the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, he acquired 21 real estate properties and a luxury car — all registered to his wife's relatives. Six apartments in Kyiv and Uzhhorod, a house near Kyiv over 220 sq. m, and a BMW X3 for his mother-in-law. The family's explanation for the origin of the funds is "raspberry business" and an $800,000 loan from the village council.
In September 2023, Zelensky dismissed Kyrylenko from the position of head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration — and the very next day, the Rada appointed him as the head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU). The person who was to lead "fair competition" in Ukraine became a suspect in the NABU case. Electronic bracelet, 30 million UAH bail, travel ban — but his position remains. The High Anti-Corruption Court refused to suspend him.
At the session of the High Anti-Corruption Court, NABU detectives showed fragments of correspondence found on former judge Bortnytska's phone: recommendations to "clean data on phones and destroy evidence." The same correspondence includes communication with a deputy minister of justice. Kyrylenko's case has gone far beyond declaration issues.
In June 2025, NABU and SAP announced a new suspicion against Kyrylenko — 20 undeclared real estate properties for 2024. His wife became an accomplice. The court reduced the bail but left him in office. A person with two NABU suspicions continues to lead the body responsible for ensuring fair competition in Ukraine.
