Deputy of the Lviv City Council of the VII and VIII convocations, head of the NGO Varta-1 — the largest Lviv community on Facebook (up to 430,000 members), and the party VARTA. Since October 2019 — assistant to the General Director of the Lviv National Art Gallery; later — head of the museum-reserve "Olesko Castle."

Unsuccessful mayoral campaigns

In 2015, he ran for mayor of Lviv from UKROP and took sixth place with 3.3%; in 2020 — from VARTA, with a rating of about 9.7%, again unsuccessful. Some sources claimed that Zinkevych is closely connected through VARTA with Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi and Ihor Kolomoisky — supposedly through godfather Oleksandr Lazorko, who controlled the company Halychyna, which was part of the Privat group’s orbit; there is no official confirmation of these claims.
