ANTIKOR
Pragmatic centrism with an emphasis on regional interests and political flexibility.
The political party "For the Future" was formed based on the eponymous deputy group in the Verkhovna Rada of the 9th convocation. In fact, it became a continuation and transformation of previous political projects, including the party "UKROP" and "Ukraine of the Future," which existed since 2008. In October 2019, a renaming took place, after which the party began developing under the new brand.
The core of the political force was composed of single-member district people's deputies with different political backgrounds who united for joint activity in parliament. The group included representatives of various parties and political camps, which influenced the heterogeneity of its positions. The party leadership was headed by Ihor Palytsia, who is associated with big business.
The party has a regional structure with branches throughout Ukraine, most of which were inherited from previous political projects. In the 2020 local elections, "For the Future" showed a relatively strong result, obtaining a significant number of deputy mandates and representation at the level of local communities.
The party’s political activity is characterized by a pragmatic approach: its representatives often criticize the authorities, but at the same time declare their readiness to cooperate and support certain decisions. Internal groups of influence were also observed within the party, which sometimes led to differing positions during parliamentary voting.
Over time, the party’s support decreased, as reflected in sociological ratings. Despite this, "For the Future" maintains a presence in the political process, particularly at the local level, and continues activities as both a parliamentary and regional political force.
