The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) is an independent structural unit within the prosecution system of Ukraine, which exercises procedural supervision and supports the state prosecution in cases related to corruption crimes. The main objective of SAPO's activities is to ensure effective combat against corruption, protect the interests of the state, and guarantee the inevitability of liability for corruption offenses. The powers of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office include procedural leadership of pre-trial investigations conducted by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, support of the state prosecution in the High Anti-Corruption Court, and oversight of legality during investigative actions. SAPO also participates in international cooperation on anti-corruption measures and the recovery of illegally acquired assets.
